Supporting Young Weavers

Pictures of Young WeaversThe Master visiting young weavers at workWeave students benefit from good facilities whilst on their course, but upon graduation most find it difficult to pursue a career.

For many, it is difficult to acquire a loom or afford studio space in which to house the equipment and work.

Others may not have sufficient knowledge or understanding of how manufacturing industry works to contemplate applying for roles.

In order to try and support such individuals, we are working with two organisations: Cockpit Arts and the Weavers’ Company.
